The criteria for AFN membership are designed to ensure consistent professional qualifications and advanced post-graduate training in fertility treatment among all members. This is to ensure the public receive the very best professional care and support.

Professional requirements
AFN is an organisation for Traditional Acupuncturists.
Applicants should be members of either BAcC, ATCM , RCHM or AAC – see more details.
Post-graduate CPD requirements
Prospective members must provide certification of attendance for courses specific to supporting both natural and assisted conception.

Courses that currently meet the AFN requirement standard are:
Trevor Wing – Post-Graduate Diploma Course in TCM Clinical Gyanecology and Obstetrics (Herbs and Acupuncture).
Jani White – The TCM Foundation Programme (Acupuncture only) based on the 2008 Brookes University MA Acupuncture modules for Gynaecology and Fertility.
Paul Johnson – Post-Graduate Course in Acupuncture for Fertility and IVF Support.
Naava Carman – Advanced Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture.
CICM – Diploma in Gynaecology, Fertility and Obstetrics.
Fertility Acupuncture Academy– Acupuncture for Natural Fertility & Acupuncture for IVF (Hannah Pearn & Rachel SherrifF)

Applying for AFN membership
Before you begin, please check that you meet our criteria for membership.
If you are unsure about this, please contact our membership secretary.
You can apply for membership and upload your documentation (acupuncture qualification, membership body registration and CDP certificate) here.
- Once approved, and your initial membership fee has been paid, we will email you log in detials for our website.
- With this you can then fill in your public profile (description, primary practice address, contact details, etc).
- You can also upload a logo image or a profile photo. (if you leave blank an AFN icon will be used as your image)
- You can have more than one directory listing if you practice in different locations.
- Please note that you can edit your profile details and add additional listings once your listing has been approved.
- Your membership will become active once payment confirmation has been received by our membership secretary and your application is approved.
By applying to join the AFN, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions of Membership.
At this time, we can only accept practitioners who are registered with one of the following professional bodies:
- British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) – acupuncture.org.uk
- Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) – rchm.co.uk
- Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) – atcm.co.uk
- Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) – aac-org.uk
